However, cannabidiol as an anxiety reducer has almost none of these issues. One study had participants who took either 600 mg of CBD or a placebo drug. In a speaking test that followed, the group which underwent CBD oil treatment showed less anxiety. They also had a smaller degree of cognitive impairment and felt less discomfort overall as they spoke. In other words, their results were better than those of the placebo group.

CBD is suddenly everywhere — and it’s not hard to see why. It won’t get you high, has a good safety profile, and naturally treats dozens of conditions. But there’s a dizzying amount of choice out there, so we’ve ranked the 20 best CBD oils to help you get started. Whether you’re a rank beginner, or you’ve been experimenting with CBD for a while, we’ve got you covered.
First things first – hemp oil comes from a plant known as hemp. More specifically, hemp is a product of hemp seeds derived from the hemp plant. It is essential to note that while you can extract hemp from almost every other plant in the cannabis genus, industrial hemp is the sole plant used for hemp oil. Also, the amount of psychoactive compounds in this type of hemp is negligible.

Moreover, a patient survey conducted by Project CBD, declared that “…cannabis appears to be an effective pain management tool with few negative side effects.” The study went on to say that a “…significant decrease in opiate usage among elderly patients while taking medical cannabis [was observed during trial].” In short, it has been portrayed clearly numerous times through valid and well-publicized clinical studies that cannabis is a practical option in terms of efficient pain management.
The Spaniards brought hemp to the Americas and cultivated it in Chile starting about 1545.[114] Similar attempts were made in Peru, Colombia, and Mexico, but only in Chile did the crop find success.[115] In July 1605, Samuel Champlain reported the use of grass and hemp clothing by the (Wampanoag) people of Cape Cod and the (Nauset) people of Plymouth Bay told him they harvested hemp in their region where it grew wild to a height of 4 to 5 ft. [116] In May 1607, "hempe" was among the crops Gabriel Archer observed being cultivated by the natives at the main Powhatan village, where Richmond, Virginia is now situated;[117] and in 1613, Samuell Argall reported wild hemp "better than that in England" growing along the shores of the upper Potomac. As early as 1619, the first Virginia House of Burgesses passed an Act requiring all planters in Virginia to sow "both English and Indian" hemp on their plantations.[118] The Puritans are first known to have cultivated hemp in New England in 1645.[114]
Now that the New Year is behind us and the winter season is in full swing, many of us struggle to keep our resolutions. A “New Year, New You” is the mantra so many adopt but often find it hard to maintain in everyday life. Overall health and wellness is something we should all strive for and find ways to make a lifestyle instead of a resolution. Not only do we want to live longer, but we seek quality of life, healthy bodies, and happiness. Wellness encompasses all these things. But how do you begin your journey to wellness? These simple steps can get you started.

Unlike THC, which primarily binds to CB-1 receptors located in the brain, CBD works in the body by manipulating receptors throughout organ tissues, the immune system, the pain response system, the hormonal system, and other whole-body regulatory systems. Basically, since its receptors have been found to exist in virtually every cell and tissue type in the body, CBD is believed to work on every aspect of human health and behavior – from the subcellular level to the whole-body leve and beyond.
Another very common issue is acne. During the teenage years it occurs more frequently, but adults suffer with it also. In fact, 15% of acne sufferers are adults and some suffer from it chronically. There are numerous washes, creams and pills that might help with suppressing acne symptoms, but CBD might provide beneficial relief that offers permanent treatment for this issue rather than just a temporary solution.
Textile expert Elizabeth Wayland Barber summarizes the historical evidence that Cannabis sativa, "grew and was known in the Neolithic period all across the northern latitudes, from Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Romania, Ukraine) to East Asia (Tibet and China)," but, "textile use of Cannabis sativa does not surface for certain in the West until relatively late, namely the Iron Age."[111] "I strongly suspect, however, that what catapulted hemp to sudden fame and fortune as a cultigen and caused it to spread rapidly westwards in the first millennium B.C. was the spread of the habit of pot-smoking from somewhere in south-central Asia, where the drug-bearing variety of the plant originally occurred. The linguistic evidence strongly supports this theory, both as to time and direction of spread and as to cause."[112]
The most abundant cannabinoid in hemp oil, making up over 90% of the cannabinoid content, cannabidiol or CBD is non-psychoactive and is the focus of the benefits from hemp oil. CBD has little affinity for CB1 or CB2 receptors, the main points of interaction for cannabinoids in the endocannabinoid system, and instead acts as an indirect antagonist of cannabinoid agonists, possibly allowing CBD to temper the high caused by THC. Our Gold Label RSHO™ is almost 25% CBD, making up most of oil’s weight. All other cannabinoids come in under 0.4% by weight.
Deforestation is considered by many to be one of the most serious and dangerous practices in the world today. We are destroying the very source of our oxygen and bio-diversity to pump out, amongst other things, daily newspapers that continue to lie to the public about many things, from world wars, to the benefits of using hemp as a sustainable crop.

Hemp-derived CBD oil products were made federally legal in December 2018 with the signing of the 2018 Farm Bill. However, several states still have laws in place that restrict the sale and possession of these products. While most companies selling CBD oil are shipping to all 50 states, you should consult your local laws or an attorney in your area if you have concerns about legalities.

Hemp was used extensively by the United States during World War II to make uniforms, canvas, and rope.[143] Much of the hemp used was cultivated in Kentucky and the Midwest. During World War II, the U.S. produced a short 1942 film, Hemp for Victory, promoting hemp as a necessary crop to win the war.[142] U.S. farmers, like Joe, ‘Daddy Burt’ Burton, participated in the campaign to increase U.S. Hemp production to 36,000 acres in 1942.[144][145] This increase amounted to more than 20 times the production in 1941 before the war effort.[145]

Research conducted by Vandrey and his colleagues has even shown that some CBD products contain significant levels of THC—which could get a child high and cause other unpleasant side effects. “This is an area that exists in a grey area of legality,” Vandrey says. “And because of that, anyone thinking about using cannabidiol, of any type, should proceed with caution.”
